Mixed media encaustics
Mixed Media is an artwork in which more then one medium or material has been employed. I paint a photograph with wax for a textured look and then hand color this photograph with pastels. This process takes about a month to make and everyone of my Mixed Media En caustic hand colored photographs is an original art piece.
You can choose this process on any image from my collections.

Fine art Photo Prints Face Mounted to Acrylic PanelsOur Acrylic Facemounts allow you to display your favorite photos or artwork just like you see in leading galleries and museums. This premium product starts with an archival print on Epson photo paper. To ensure the very finest details and tonality we output the prints on industry defined inkjet printers with an ultra-high resolution. Using optically clear adhesive, we mount the prints to glass like acrylic, giving your image a remarkable depth and brilliance that will make an impact on any audience. A 1/8″ acrylic protective backer is then applied followed by an inset 3/4” deep rear mounted frame. The frame allows the art to float weightlessly off the wall.

I went to Maryanne's solo gallery show at MK Galleries last summer and fell in love with her En Caustic mixed media artwork. In particular, her photo of a plaza in Szentendre, Hungary with brilliantly colored umbrellas hanging above the plaza blew me away. She showed me the original photo and the artistic interpretation she applied to the finished photo side by side. The results of her hand coloring and waxing technique were stunning. I immediately bid on the photo and was lucky enough to walk away with it. I've since acquired another piece from that show depicting the Grand Canal in Venice that is just spectacular. Her keen eye in knowing where to add color and the unique process of applying a wax coating to the finished work is bedazzling! Both pieces hang proudly in my living room and the compliments I get from visitors range from "WOW", to how does she do it, to where can we see her work? She is an exceptional artist with an eye for detail that is uncanny. I can't wait to see her next show so I can add to my collection of her work."
