Cuba

Mi Amor Por Cuba

Ernest Hemmingway said, “We are all broken - that’s how the light gets in.” Light is what captures an image.  The combination of skill and intuition to find the angle and release the shutter at the precise moment to capture the most compelling images is what makes me happy.

My love affair with Cuba is reflected in my photographs.  As an artist I had a remarkable palette of urban and rural landscapes, striking architecture, vintage cars, rolling fields, and the beautiful spirit of the Cuban People to work with.  And the light, the extraordinary light that washes across landscape.  It was a photographer’s dream.

Some of the images within galleries may have to be cropped to fit the size you’d like as final print !

When it comes to enlarging photographs for prints, one crucial consideration is the aspect ratio. Often, the original composition might not perfectly fit the desired enlargement size, requiring us to crop the image. While cropping may seem like a loss, it offers a unique opportunity to enhance the focus and impact of the photograph.
At Maryanne McGuire Fine Art Travel Photography, we understand the significance of delivering high-quality prints to our customers while maintaining the artistic integrity of our photographs.
